ABOUT MICHELLE TAM

“HUMAN STATUES MICHELLE TAM” was created in 2010, in the small village of Beit Arif. Michelle arrived home all excited after visiting the first human statue festival in the city of Rehovot Israel.  It was then that she decided this was her new passion in life.

She started with a duo act consisting of 2 brides in white, fighting over a random “groom” picked out from the audience. 

Today “HUMAN STATUES MICHELLE TAM” has grown to over 30 human statues, with new ideas and characters coming to life all the time. “HUMAN STATUES MICHELLE TAM” has 50 registered actors from all over Israel, though Michelle herself performs whenever possible and gives all of herself, on stage and behind the scenes to give the best value to all her customers.  

Michelle has a makeup artist diploma (Il Makiage Cosmetics School), however she focuses mainly on Face and Body Painting and Artistic Airbrush Tattoos. She has attended many Face and Body Painting Conventions around the world, forever improving her skills and knowledge in this field.  It was at the "Fabaic Face And Body Painting Convention" in Florida USA, that she discovered and learnt a special method to make her amazing artistic temporary tattoos.

Due to her dedication and experience in these fields, Michelle has won numerous prizes at both Human Statue Festivals and Body Painting competitions over the years.

In addition, Michelle was part of the committee organizing and running "The Colorvention Convention" in 2019, it was the second Face and Body Painting Convention in Tel-Aviv Israel, that was followed by the media and was a great success.

The human statue acts are made mostly by Michelle Tam herself. Some are made in collaboration with other amazing artists and costume designers. All are at a high international standard.

Acts are performed at local and international venues, forever increasing the audience exposure to this unique, prestigious and impressive art form.
